The attic is a restaurant in Barcelona located on Las Ramblas! The attic has a really nice atmosphere, it had dim lights and lots of tables. It turns out the restaurant´s fancy appearance doesn´t translate to their food!
The best thing about The Attic was their servers. The server we had was extremely attentive and accomodating. He helped me to change around an entire order so that I could get my food the exact way I wanted it. He also spoke English, which I´m sure by now you´ve realized makes a big difference to me.
We started with their sangria, which was mediocre at best. It didn´t compare to the sangria that I have had in other restaurants and at Parc Guell.
I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were great! I have missed getting mashed potatoes recently. The steak on the other hand was not great.
My brother got a hamburger with a fried egg. He loved the concept of fried eggs on food and thought it made the burger delicious, yet when I tried it I didn´t think it was great.
Overall, the food was a disappointment. Based on the atmosphere in the restaurant I was expecting it to be good. I also think that restaurants on Las Ramblas tend to be disappointing, they are too touristy and never have as good of food. The last comment I have on this restaurant is the cost! Everything on the menu seemed reasonable but it added up to be pretty expensive for such a mediocre meal!

Ciudad condal is a restaurant located on Rambla de Catalunya. It is a local tapas restaurant that draws in a large crowd. I went to this restaurant with my mom and my brother when they came to Barcelona to visit me. The restaurant is known to always have a wait. When we went, we had to wait about a half hour at 8 p.m., which is considered a very early dinner here in Barcelona.

The restaurant appears to be very tiny when you are waiting by the bar area to be seated, however, when we were taken back to our table it turns out their is a lot of space with a lot of tables. It really reinforced to me the popularity of the restaurant since we still had to wait so long at that hour with so many tables in the restaurant.

To begin the meal we ordered some sangria, which was decent. We glanced over the menu which luckily has an english version. We ordered A LOT of food. My favorite thing that we ordered were a type of french fries. On top of the fries was a spicy garlic sauce and two fried eggs. When the order came out, the waiter cut the fried eggs so the orangey inside would cover the fries. It was one of the best dishes I have ever ordered in my life.

Another incredible thing we ordered were the mini hamburgers. With just cheese and onion on them, the taste of the meat came through which was delicious. Some other recommendations I have are the steak sandwich, the shrimp on the skewers, the Iberian ham, and the patates bravas. Every single thing we ordered did not disappoint.

Aside from the food, the second best thing about this restaurant were the prices. It wasn´t the cheapest place that I have been to, but it was very reasonable and gave us a chance to try a large variety of foods. The service was good and spoke pretty decent english as well. This was definitely my best restaurant experience in Barcelona and I will be visiting back very soon.
