inside the restaurant!

La Rosa Negra is a restaurant located at Via Laietana, 46. Just a few minute walk from the metro stop Urquinaona, La Rosa Negra is in a great location! I went to Rosa Negra because I received an overwhelming amount of recommendations. I think the reason everyone raves about it so much is because of the prices and it is one of the few places people have found in Barcelona where you can get a burrito. Everyone seems to really miss Chipotle and Taco Bell around here. Everything at Rosa Negra is homemade, according to their website.

What I liked the best about Rosa Negra was the atmosphere. The colors and the lighting made it a fun place to be. My three roomates and I went to Rosa Negra with some of our guy friends for a casual Sunday night dinner.

The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Although it was hard to communicate my specific order with the waiter he spoke enough english to figure it out.

We all began dinner by ordering drinks. I ordered a strawberry margarita which was extremely cheap, I think only around 3 euro. The margarita was strong, yet sweet and delicious. My favorite part of the margarita was the sugar around the edges instead of the usual salt. I loved it!

We ordered nachos as a table and the cheese sauce on top of them was delicious. I could tell it was freshly made and it had a really good flavor, much more authentic than anything I could find at taco bell.

After the tacos we received our meal. I ordered beef tacos with cheese. The cheese sauce that came on the side was the same as the nachos! I was very excited and the tacos were delicious. Not the usual taste of tacos I was expecting, but I loved them none the less.

I personally did not order dessert but the desserts that my friends ordered looked fantastic.

The restaurant ended up being extremely cheap. I ordered two margaritas, we all split nachos, and I ordered tacos and only spent about 12 euro. It was definitely worth the time and money to go there. I do think it was slightly overrated from the reviews I had heard, but with the small amount of Mexican food in Barcelona I can see why people would rave about it.

Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to grab a meal in Barcelona! It was a great place, especially for younger people.

And just to leave this blog post with some excitement: Here is a Taco bell commercial with the original Taco Bell chihuahua!
